Property / House
- RATES are listed on the ‘CONTACT’ page
- VEGAN-friendly & eco-consciousÂ
- Quiet and private with mountain views: total property has 35 acres of seeded wildflower meadows
- Beautiful layered mountain views; abutting the sprawling Fox Mountain and near Shenandoah National Park
- Abundant wildlife with a strict no hunting policy
- Whole house rental – not rented by room
- No parties or events
- No smoking
- One dog allowed if crated and leashed at all times, but no other pets
- Not suitable for very young children and absolutely not child-proofed… non-walking infants are allowed and we have a crib for these parents… so no children between the ages of 1 year and 6 years
- Almost no mosquitoes or biting flies, year ’round
- Large bird population because of stocked feeders
- Century old maple trees surround the house (maples are rare in this area)
- While normally quiet (and no real road noise), please note that we cannot control the occasional country noise that is now so common everywhere… there is sometimes a lawn mower or tractor and rarely a dog barking or a distant cow mooing or even an occasional black bear rambling across the fields, and mountain winds can cause rare short-term power outages so we have battery powered emergency floor lights throughout
